There are many theatres and performance arts venues in Brisbane. International theatrical productions can be found at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre on the south bank. Other venues include: the Metro Arts Theatre on Edward street; Brisbane Arts Theatre at Petrie Terrace; and QUT Gardens Theatre at Queensland University of Technology.Brisbane's main entertainment areas are located in the city centre and in Fortitude Valley. Live music is particularly popular in Brisbane and many local bands are well supported here. The venue for most major concerts is the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in the Boondall area. Nightclubs in central Brisbane include Jade Buddha and Strike Bowling, while Fortitude Valley offers Family Nightclub, The Beat and The Depot as well as many themed pubs.
