Rome is home to many theatres showing a wide variety of productions throughout the year, including some in English. Situated at St Peter's Square, the Ghione Theatre hosts classical plays and concerts. Also known as the Teatro Costanzi, the Teatro Dell'Opera is a prestigious venue for opera and ballet, while an English-speaking theatre troupe called the Miracle Players puts on comic theatre in English at the Forum every summer.
Rome hosts many classical music concerts at venues such as the Auditorium Parco della Musica and the Accademia di Santa Cecilia. Many bars and nightclubs offer live rock, pop, blues and jazz, with some notable venues including Foncea and Alexanderplatz jazz club.
The Noianti Festival brings together folk musicians and traditional music each July. There is also a supper season of opera and ballet every summer from June to September.
